This is a fictional organisation used as a case study in an educational context.

How to enrol

Applications open year-round, with intakes in February and July. Most courses can be started in either intake — check the course page for any intake-specific notes.

Steps to apply

  1. Choose your course

Browse our study areas and pick the qualification that maps to where you want to be working in the next 12–24 months. If you're not sure, our admissions team can help — see contact below.

  2. Submit your application

Applications are managed by our admissions team. Email or phone using the details on our contact page and include: your full name, the course or courses you're interested in, your intended intake (February or July), and any relevant prior qualifications or work experience.

  3. Provide supporting documents

Photo ID, proof of citizenship or residency, and any prior qualifications relevant to the course. Some courses have specific entry requirements — these are listed on each course page.

  4. Receive your offer

We aim to respond within five working days of receiving a complete application.

  5. Accept and enrol

Accept your offer, pay your first instalment (or confirm your subsidised place), complete enrolment, and you're in.

Fees and funding

YAT charges per-course tuition fees that vary by qualification. Specific fees are listed on each course page or available from our admissions team.

Government-subsidised places

Skills First Victoria places are available on most YAT qualifications for eligible Victorian students. Eligibility is based on residency, prior qualifications you hold, and your current concession status. Your eligibility is assessed during the application process — you don't need to work it out yourself.

Free TAFE applies to selected qualifications for eligible students — the indicator appears on the relevant course page.

Payment options

Payment plans are available for full-fee students. They can be arranged with our admissions team before you enrol so the cost is spread across the course rather than being due up front.

Concessions and Centrelink

If you hold a current concession card, you may qualify for a concession rate — check with admissions. If you receive a Centrelink payment, a YAT qualification may not affect your eligibility, but you should check your specific circumstances with Centrelink before enrolling.

For current fee figures, funding eligibility, and any scholarship arrangements, contact admissions.
